We go way back with Sigrid

Sigrid is a busy woman, and that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Months and months on the road touring, delivering her brand of euphoric pop to huge, adoring crowds, and working on music in the recording studio, doesn’t leave much time for anything else, but Sigrid still manages to set some aside to spend with family and friends. As well as caring for her skin – we’ve been part of Sigrid’s skin regimen while on the road for a while, matter of fact: “I remember[s] getting the Simple makeup wipes years ago,” she says “and they’ve been working really well for me!”.

Partnering with Simple

“I’m excited to be partnering with Simple this summer,” she continues. “Since I travel as much as I do, and I’m often at festival sites where there’s not really time for an extensive skincare routine, I’ve loved using Simple.” When we ask how important her skincare routine is to her, Sigrid says she likes to “have as few steps as possible, so the biodegradable wipes, micellar cleansing water and moisturiser for dry skin combo is perfect for me. Then I have more time for other fun stuff!”

And by other fun stuff, she’s referring to the “bbqs, swimming in the fjord, and walks in the woods” that her and her friends fill their summer days with every year back in Oslo – you’ll be hard-pressed to find better ways of spending your free time. And while many of us will be looking to make the most of the sunshine and warmer weather over the summer after the last two years, there’ll be just as many of us feeling a little anxiety to get back out there and reconnect with the outside world. Sigrid’s advice? “You can always plan something that isn’t a whole day thing, like a coffee or a short walk.”

We manage to squeeze in one more question, before Sigrid’s on the move again: What would you consider to be essentials in your life? “SPF, water and wool socks! I try not to get cold or sunburnt at festivals.” We’re on board with the SPF and water, but the wool socks… well, we’re hoping to have those firmly tucked away at the back of our sock drawers over summer!
